Get Started with Coding

Monday night was a good night.  Went to Jazzercise, met up with Sara and Mark for some dinner @ Rudy's (my favorite, obviously), and then Mark and I hung out for a while and practiced our super awesome Javascript knowledge at Codecademy.  I had never really looked at the site before, but it's honestly the best introduction to programming I've ever seen.  Mark had been interested in learning some code and I'm always game to freshen up my skills, so we sat and worked on some stuff.

The lessons at the site are intuitive, straightforward and follow a natural progression of knowledge.  I was amazed at the progress made in such a short time, and the depth of understanding we got to. It's incredible to see someone who has never even had an introduction to programming other than this saying "duh!" and fixing a mistake in his code after only an hour of exposure.  I had such a great time going through everything and learning a few things I didn't even know. Can't wait to do it again soon :)
